What is this?
AQA are one of the UK's top awarding bodies. The Unit Award Scheme is a unique way to record learner achievement.
The Unit Award Scheme (UAS) allows children and adults to engage with learning and have their achievements formally recognised. Learners are rewarded with a certificate each time they successfully complete a unit of learning. They can build up a portfolio of certificates to evidence their skills, knowledge and experience.
The scheme boosts confidence, increases engagement and improves motivation, helping learners to make progress on their lifelong learning journey.
What Level?
The level does not matter! AQA Unit Award Scheme is designed to celebrate what they can do, not what level they are working at. We do give you levels for guidance, but the only questions to ask are "will they enjoy the unit?" and "can they access it independently?".
We believe in interest led, project based, progressive learning. This gives them control over their own learning and freedom of choice without a judgement on where they are up to.
Don't worry.. we have built in progression for them. It is less obvious than in traditional education and will remind them how much they love curiosity.
How to submit work.
Work can be handed in any form you can think of. Photos, written, practical, audio, video or even digital evidence is fine. You can scribe for a leaner that cannot/ will not write and are free to complete outcomes however you want to.
Put it all into one PDF document and email it across. We will do the rest.
